7th Annual Immunize Nebraska Conference
This conference will be held at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Omaha, Nebraska on Friday, June 11th (note second Friday of June this year), 2010. Six hours of continuing education credit will be available for physicians, nurses and pharmacists.New Part IV MOC Module on Colorectal Center Screening
The Colorectal Cancer Screening Practice Improvement Program, developed by The New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians (NJAFP) in collaboration with the American Cancer Society, is an e-learning quality improvement/performance improvement program, which qualifies for *ABFM Maintenance of Certification*. The program draws from, and expands upon, the components of the toolkit, *How to Increase Colorectal Cancer Screening Rates in Practice: A Primary Care Clinician's Evidence-Based Toolbox and Guide*.*
This activity has been approved by the American Board of Family Medicine as an external provider of Part IV Maintenance of Certification for Family Physicians credit. Term of approval is for two years from February 1, 2010, with the option for yearly renewal.
It is also accredited as a Performance in Practice module by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Participants receive 20 prescribed CME credits from the AAFP and credit for completing the MOC from the ABFM. There is no charge for completing the PIP, although there are ABFM fees for MOC within their program.
The online program consists of:
- learning overview
- evidence-based recommendations and guidelines
- baseline chart review and data abstraction
- practice assessment
- baseline data analysis
- best practice recommendations
- quality improvement plan (QIP) development and implementation
- QIP templates
- re-measurement chart review and data abstraction
- post intervention practice assessment
- re-measurement data analysis
