Members Benefits

Nebraska Member Benefits:

Representation and Advocacy:

NAFP seeks to promote your image and represent your interests as a family physician. Every family physician benefits from the Academy's voice on the issues that matter most to family medicine.

The NAFP Public Affairs Committee has several projects to promote Family Medicine in Nebraska.  They include a radio campaign as well as an insert in the Omaha World Herald.

The NAFP employs a lobbyist to represent the interest of its members.

Continuing Medical Education Resources:

A high quality CME program is one of the most important responsibilities of the NAFP. As a member you will have access to meetings, courses and conferences, and publications and resources that will equip you with the latest research and clinical training.

The NAFP provides two high quality CME programs annually:  The Annual Scientific Assembly and the Fall Conference.

Communication with Members:

The Cornhusker Family Physician is our quarterly publication.  Members receive this informative magazine and archived editions are available on our Chapter website.

Our new and improved website contains important Chapter and National contact information, upcoming CME opportunities, advocacy links, Foundation news, information for students and residents, and a special members only section with important resources.

Email communications will keep you up to date on national and local Family Medicine information and initiatives

Student and Resident Involvement:

The NAFP encourages student and resident participation.  Residents and students are invited to attend NAFP CME events at no charge.

Resident and student members are also actively represented on the NAFP Board of Directors
