Lt. Gov. Foley Proclaims September 2017 "Family Health Month"

Along with the Family Physician of the Year ceremony on September 6, 2017, Lt. Governor Mike Foley proclaimed September as Family Health Month. NAFP President, Dr. Trisha Sams, served as the NAFP's speaking representative and acknowledged the proclamation with pride.

Below is an excerpt from Dr. Sams' acknowledgement speech:

"Family medicine is a specialty devoted to providing comprehensive health care for people of all ages. Family physicians provide their patients care when and where they need it, and in a manner they can understand. They build long-term, trusting relationships with the patients they serve and play a vital role in keeping our Nebraska community well. Thank you for supporting family physicians as we strive to improve the health of all Nebraskans. We are truly honored to be recognized by marking September as Family Health Month."
