Accreditation
The Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Application for continuing medical eduction (CME) credit has been filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians. Determination of credit is pending. Based upon credit granted in previous years, the NAFP anticipates approval of 17.50 Prescribed credits for this live activity, the 66th Annual Meeting & Scientific Assembly, with a beginning date of March 27, 2014. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The DOT Medical Examiner Training has been reviewed and approved by the AAFP for up to 4.50 Prescribed credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Upon completion of the MC-FP Part I knowledge assessment, SAM Study Group - Pain Management on March 27, 2014, and completion of the MC-FP Part II patient simulation, on your own, the American Board of Family Medicine will submit a total of 12.00 Prescribed CME credits to the AAFP on your behalf.
NAFP adheres to the ACCME standards regarding industry support of CME and disclosure of faculty and commercial support relationships; if any, they will be made known at the conference.
Translation to Practice® Program
AAFP members attending a chapter meeting may engage in one t2p™ exercise per CME activity. Two CME activites at the Annual Meeting & Scientific Assembly will be eligible for t2p™ credit.
“t2p™” stands for Translation to Practice®. t2p™ complements CME activities already approved for AAFP Prescribed credit. It offers learners the opportunity to apply what they learned in the CME activity, and report back on how the learning was translated into practice. Translation to Practice® began as a pilot in 2010, and has been administered by AAFP and many participating chapters since that time. To learn more about t2p™ visit the FAQs here.
