The Family Physician of the Year award is given annually to a Family Physician who exemplifies a compassionate commitment to improving the health and well-being of the people and communities throughout Nebraska. Dr. Bob Rauner will be honored this spring at the State Capitol as the recipient of this year’s award. Dr. Rauner has been heavily involved in the medical and greater community. He has been an active member of the Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians, serving multiple positions over the last twenty-two years including President, Vice-President, President-Elect, Board of Directors and Legislative Committee Chair and member. Dr. Rauner has served on both national and state-level boards for medical, school, community, academic and faith-based organizations. Currently he serves as the President of Partnership for Healthy Lincoln, a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the health, wellness, and fitness of communities. Dr. Rauner is also the Chief Medical Officer of OneHealth Nebraska ACO in Lincoln from 2017 to present.
