The NAFP Foundation wants to make Family Medicine a reality for young people, but we need your help. Here are some statistics:

This year (2022) UNMC matched 15 of 129 students and Creighton matched 10 of 163 students in Family Medicine.

We know from the past that our scholarships work to help students in Family Medicine and keep students in Family Medicine and in Nebraska.

Overall, 38 of 42 DeRoin Scholarship winners are in Family Medicine and 31 practice in Nebraska. All the Ashby Scholarship winners are Family Physicians and 18 of 20 practice in Nebraska.

For this reason, the NAFP Board, the NAFP Foundation Board and the NAFP Past Presidents at the annual breakfast (March 2022) voted unanimously to fund a brand new $2,000 scholarship from each group. The attendees at the Annual Scientific Assembly funded another $2,000 scholarship for next year.

The NAFP Foundation Board has established the Cornhusker Club for annual giving at the levels below. Here is how you can help!
