Donald J. Larson, MD, Memorial Scholarship for Residents

Dr. Donald J. Larson was a valued member and Past-President of the Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians. He was an acclaimed teacher of family medicine graduate education and served as program director of the Lincoln Family Practice Program from 1988-1995 (now known as the Lincoln Family Medicine Program).

This $1,000 scholarship was created in Dr. Larson's memory and will be presented to one (1) resident who is interested in Family Medicine in rural practice at the Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians DeRoin Memorial Luncheon on Saturday, March 23, 2024, in conjunction with the 76th Annual Meeting and Scientific Assembly at the Younes Conference Center in Kearney, NE. The winner will be selected by the Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians Foundation scholarship selection committee and must be present to accept the award.

Criteria:
1) NAFP member
2) Nebraska Family Medicine resident with a rural practice emphasis
